Happy Birthday Delfino

I had this big plan to say everything you meant to me, to tell you Happy Birthday and profess my undying love. However I am a wimp, the camera came on and I started to bawl. But you already know this. So I thought I would write a few words.

From the moment we met you were my closest friend. I had finally met a guy who had knew where I had been, and knew where I was going. Every single day you push me to be a better lover, friend, mother and citizen. Even when I don’t want to listen, somehow your words of advice make their way in. I want you to know that I love everything about you, your passion, and drive for equality. You have given me some if the best years of my life, including two beautiful children. I know I don’t have to tell you what kind of Father you are, just look at the way our girls look at you. It say it all. You are so smart, and its you who help to push me along. One day we will have  private getaway or whatever this song says, one day we will have our happily ever after.
