Dreams of Disney – Disneyland

Kaila is so incredibly excited about our upcoming trip to Disneyland, she fell asleep on the plane ride home looking at this picture of Disneyland at Christmas. It’s now hanging on the wall in her bedroom. Our family can hardly wait for our trip. We will be driving the 18 hours to Southern California from Oregon and immediately heading to Anaheim. After Disney we will head to the mountains to hotel Gronley then my parents for Christmas.

So what’s so special about Disneyland at Christmas?

Christmas at Disneyland is something special. The entire park has been transformed and even includes real snow, and giant Christmas trees.  We will be visiting both Disneyland and California Adventure during our stay. Follow the @DisneyParks Twitter account for more updates and information about these parks.

Special features at Disneyland during Christmas include:

  • A Christmas Fantasy parade
  • SNOW on Main Street!
  • Believe…In Holiday Magic- The nightly fireworks show concludes with a SoCal “snowfall.”
  • it’s a small world holiday (sic)- The cloying dolls celebrate their multi-culti holiday traditions in a makeover of the classic attraction.
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday- The retrofitted Mansion introduces “A Nightmare Before Christmas’ ” Jack Skellington to the ghostly mix.
  • Santa’s Reindeer Round-Up- A meet-and-greet area with a certain jolly V.I.P. and his trusty transpo-team (sorry, no actual flying reindeer).

Remember it’s the year for service!! Volunteer and get a day free with the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.”
