One of the best gifts for any young child is a pretend play kitchen. Step 2 makes a variety, and has a large selection of all makes of kitchens and outdoor play sets.
As a Test Drive Mom for Frigidaire, I also personally believe in what Frigidaire stands for because I know and use several of their products every day. I love that Step 2 has teamed up with Frigidaire to encourage families to spend more time together. Saying that I know my Frigidaire appliances give me more time, and I do believe in their cause.
What is better than a kitchen in a kitchen? I believe it inspires imagination and creativity in our kitchen, and that’s exactly what The Creative Kids In the Kitchen Contest is trying create.
Step2 sent us the Lifestyle Deluxe Kitchen for review, and we are impressed with the amount of detail and features this kitchen set includes. I knew right away it would compliment our overly large kitchen. Kai likes to play while I cook and we like to have fun with it. She has become the little restaurateur, preparing and serving us meals. The kitchen includes cabinets, drawers, storage, a fridge, stove, microwave, and even a dishwasher, It is a sleek faucet and pull-out sprayer. It also includes a working light above the sink, which is the perfect touch for a mini-kitchen. The website does contain this WARNING: It could make your real kitchen jealous! And it’s true!
Growing up my mom always did one that big gift for the year. Play kitchens are that perfect big gift, and they’ll last a long time and provide years and generations of imaginary play. Right now if you buy from Step2 they will include FREE SHIPPING, which saves yourself the hassle of hunting down the right model and hauling it home!

Also enter the maghound sweeps under Our Ordinary Life if you win I’ll win a trip too! Gain an extra entry!
I was lucky to have Step 2 provide my family with this brand new kitchen unit for review and a brand new unit for the giveaway. All above mentioned thoughts was from my personal use and feelings.
Giveaway will end December 1st just in case the winner wants to make this an awesome Holiday gift.

What a great idea, to put in the kitchen so they can be playing while you’re cooking dinner.

One way I inspire creativity in the kitchen is by letting my Daughter ALWAYS help me when making something. Many times I have been frustrated with the mess created or the (a little too much ingredients added to a recipe) and then stop and think of the priceless time we are spending together.

i inspire creativity in the kitchen by getting down on my childrens level and letting them add their own flavors and spices. They get to make fundamental choices instead of just being a “helper”.

i inspire creativity in the kitchen by letting my boys (3 and 1) help with the cooking by pouring in ingredients and stirring. I also let them play with dishes in the kitchen while I am cooking and we make and decorate cookies together.

My little ones help me plenty in the kitchen. It gives us extra time and fun with each other. They each have different things to do since they are different ages. We also try to find a kid friendly recipe that doesn’t get to frustrating for them.

It’s fun to let the little ones mix in ingredients and as they get older they can measure them or count them out.
