Bookie is now five months old and I swear I see her grow more and more each day. She can now pass items from hand to hand, almost sit up by herself, play with toys, roll from sitting on her back, and she loves to give kisses. She’ll grab your face and come towards you and then give you a big wet slobbery kiss. Brooklin also knows her name. Saying that makes me feel like I’m talking about my dog but seriously she does. She also babbles to try and get attention.
To be honest I haven’t fed her food regularly. She tried some rice and recently I found some Taiwanese rice sticks called Baby Mum-Mum. For now its still just breastfeeding, but she has the rest of her life to try food! I noticed something while nursing her, and it is that she gets distracted by her dad or sister. She’ll pull away from my breast then once her curiosity has been fulfilled she turns back. Even handling my breast to where she wants it.
Brooklin also laughs and giggles now and is beginning to express emotions. Sometimes, she is just bored but she’ll let us know. She’s also wiggling around a lo and she can easily make her way to try and grab toys within her reach.
About Kristin
most Dr.’s go by American Pediatrics guidelines and will suggest that you wait until 6 mos to introduce food to avoid allergies. Breast milk is all she really needs still so don’t feel guilty for not giving her food she has time

Our babies are really growing up too fast!!! Jaxon is trying to push himself up on his knees to crawl already, I’m soooo not ready for that! Brooklin is adorable as always
