How To Clean A Glass Top Stove

Photobucket As a busy mom, I often struggle with figuring how I am going to get everything done in one day. For the past four months, my Frigidaire stove and microwave have helped to make my life a lot easier. Cooking has been made easier, and having a ceramic glass top cook top on my stove makes wiping up a lot easier. After cooking, which is throughout the day, I can easily wipe up the messes. kai baking cake

Since Frigidaire has made my life easier, I often find myself spur-of-the-moment baking. When making things as simple as an easy pre-made cake, by the time we are done mixing everything together, the oven is ready to go. There’s no waiting around.

Let me be honest, I never thought about how much time I spent waiting for things to happen with my older ranges. And it is nice that cleaning is a lot easier.

One of the best ways to keep your glass top stove looking great, and free of crusted and sticky burnt-on-food is to use recommended cleaners and polishers. You can also soak really gooey messes with a hot towel, and/or water and finish up with a nice polish. Every manufacture suggests a different cleaner, please check with them for specifications.

And if you need a quick how-to on cleaning a glass stove top, here’s a video.

Hey Del can you pleaseeeee come and clean mine? Yours looks so much better than mine. Or maybe I should get my hubby to do it – men are strong (giggle).

I LOVE my glass top stove. They really are easy to clean and there are so many products available to use.

Thanks for the shot of Kaila – she is a sweetie!

I have a hard time cleaning out glass top stove after stuff has been burnt on the eye! I usually have Zack do it because he’ll use a razor blade. {not recommended of course!} He’s far more careful than I would ever be.

I was told to use a razor blade (very sharp of course) and at an angle chip away the burnt on crud and then use the cleaner. I was given the blade with the stove too from the manufacturer, that makes cleaning such a breeze! I also use the Weimann’s cleaner….works so much better than the other stuff. I use a dry cloth to apply the cleaner, let dry, wipe off an buff. Super SHINY! Smooth as BUTTA!

I love ceramic cooktops….they rock!
